Hotpoint® PTAC 7K BTU with Electric Heat, 230/208V, 20A – AHES07D3XXA

Hotpoint® 7,000 BTU PTAC with Electric Heat, 230/208V, 20A – AHES07D3XXA

The Hotpoint AHES07D3XXA Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner (PTAC) is a commercial through-the-wall heating and cooling solution designed for hotels, motels, extended-stay properties, assisted living facilities, and other individually conditioned accommodations. Operating on 230/208V electrical service with a 20-amp connection, this 7,000 BTU-class unit provides 7,200 BTU/h of cooling at 230V and 7,000 BTU/h at 208V, together with a 3.5 kW electric resistance-heating system. Its compact configuration allows hospitality properties to provide independent room-temperature control without requiring a centralized ducted HVAC system.

Engineered for dependable daily operation, the AHES07D3XXA combines a fixed-speed rotary compressor, an energy-efficient variable-speed DC fan motor, and two selectable fan speeds for cooling, heating, and fan-only operation. With published cooling efficiency ratings of 12.0 EER at 230V and 12.1 EER at 208V, the unit delivers reliable temperature management while supporting energy-conscious hotel operations. Four programmable temperature-limiting options allow property operators to establish appropriate guestroom temperature ranges, helping balance occupant comfort with operating costs.

The unit incorporates a streamlined, coverless electronic control panel with an automatically dimming LED display, providing convenient access to temperature settings, operating modes, and fan controls. Additional features include automatic power recovery, Freeze Sentinel protection, automatic indoor frost control, self-diagnostics, and a constant-fan function. These capabilities help simplify everyday operation and allow maintenance teams to identify service requirements more efficiently.

Designed for straightforward installation and replacement, the AHES07D3XXA features a slide-in chassis measuring approximately 42.4 inches wide, 16 inches high, and 20.9 inches deep. Its factory-attached 20A LCDI power cord simplifies electrical connection when used with the appropriate receptacle and electrical circuit. The unit is compatible with separately available wall sleeves, exterior grilles, subbases, and a remote thermostat connection kit, making it suitable for both new hospitality projects and compatible PTAC replacements.

Using R-32 refrigerant, the Hotpoint AHES07D3XXA provides modern refrigerant technology in a familiar commercial PTAC format. Its slinger-ring condensate removal system, removable air filters, and accessible controls support practical maintenance and day-to-day operation. Backed by Hotpoint and GE Appliances service support, this model offers a straightforward solution for hospitality properties seeking 7,000 BTU-class cooling with electric resistance heating and room-level temperature control.
